We had long ago realized that what we were looking for might not be how others review. Such was the case in this park. We read a few negative reviews and based our opinion on those. Wrong!1. Fort Pickens on Gulf Islands National Seashore. Located across from Pensacola Bay from Naval Air Station Pensacola on the tip of Santa Rosa Island, most any location around the historic fort offers great views of the Blue Angels practices. The area has become an increasingly popular spot to watch the flights. We were very lucky to find this place. When we were looking for a location to store our RV and vehicle while we made a short trip, this place was mentioned by staff at the Blue Angel RV park. Actually, it was one of several on a list they provided us with. Parking was in a gated yard and we were given a key for 24 hour access. The Blue Ox has three spotless shower facilities and two laundry facilities. We also have a large recreation building with a full kitchen, seating for 60, an exercise room, T.V. area, a ping-pong and pool table. Our office is open seven days a week. The park expanded in 1999 to include 50 amp spaces, and an indoor pool. We’re just on the edge ...
