Demons Scar is probably the best curved sword in the game when coupled with pyromancies like surge. The spell is garbage. I've got both and Demon's Scar is the better choice, in my opinion. Seething Chaos is unreliable at best. If the projectile hits an enemy, you get mediocre damage and no explosion. You are forced to free aim it at the ground.
