Duramax broken crank.
About 2 weeks ago on the way to work the truck started bucking violently and died. Pulled codes and got p0366 crank sensor. Took it to a mechanic I know and he replaced crank sensor. It still throws the code after clearing it when cranking. We are getting power and signal from both the crank and cam sensor. The reluctor wheel is tight.
Pour the CLR into the bucket and add the steel lines. let them sit like 30 to 45 minutes. The rust is gone and lines look new. Take a dremel with a small cup wire brush and clean the flares and inside the nuts (Threads) with it, swish around in the CLR again and then wash them good with Water.It’s a sad day when a beloved piece of tech finally bites the dust. Mar 29, 2009 · If you have a pin shear off. (you will know it immediately). Do not drive the truck. Shut it off as soon as possible. Have it towed. Continuing to drive the truck wil allow the balancer to slip on the crank and it can play hell on the nose of the crank and the inside of the balancer.

Just wondering if anybody has had any luck just replacing the broken crank with a new one without completely tearing down the whole engine and having the rotating assembly spin balanced? My lml broke a crank shaft last Saturday night.
