Upgrade the pre-crimp to the "spin-dex" version, this will allow to to achieve any pre-crimp you want. The original one was adjusted using fender washers and only allowed 1/16" adjustments. Once again, if your pre-crimp is black in color this has already been done. Get a new charge bar and a bunch of powder bushings.

Burnt Powder. Wipe the dirt off and oil the parts that move with the exception of the charge bar and the hinge where the top folds back. They do not need any lubrication. The charge bar needs to be clean and if you lube it at all, a little graphite or silicon spray will do the trick.
